Open Roles:

Electrical Design Engineer

The Electrical Designer will be responsible for designing the electrical power and control circuits for several special purpose machines and also to supervise the seamless integration of the electrical components into the mechanical framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical System Design:

• Develop and design electrical power and control circuits for the special purpose machines.

• Provide electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings for all electrical components.

• Ensure the electrical design complies with industry safety standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, UL).

• Specify electrical equipment BOM based on power requirements, efficiency, and life-cycle costs. (PLC, Sensors, Relay etc)

Control Systems Integration:

• Design the PLC control logic and integrate sensors (e.g., vision systems, proximity sensors) for the inspection process.

• Design fault detection and diagnostic systems to enhance machine performance and reduce downtime.

• Ensure all electrical designs meet safety standards (e.g., emergency stop systems, circuit breakers, safety relays).

Testing & Commissioning:

• Support the testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of electrical systems during the machine’s build phase.

• Assist in the commissioning and final testing, ensuring all electrical systems function as expected.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Provide comprehensive documentation of electrical designs, circuit diagrams, wiring layouts, and operation manuals.

  • Document specifications, procedures, and standards for installation and future maintenance.

Collaboration:

• Work with mechanical design team to incorporate electrical system safety features into the overall machine design.

• Provide technical support during installation and after-sales phases.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical design, preferably in automation, manufacturing, or machinery design.

  • Strong experience with control systems, PLC programming, and motor control.

  • Experience with electrical component selection (e.g., sensors, actuators, motors, PLCs, and HMIs).

  • Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations (e.g., IEC 60204-1, UL standards).

  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical).

  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, CANopen) is a plus.
